Flash

Flash elements on a web page will typically have some movement. Flash can play movies, so it's great for product demos. Flash can include sound, although we generally don't recommend this.

A website should never be built entirely of Flash. It may look great, but people just don't get along with Flash as well as they do regular HTML websites. Search engines don't understand Flash and will ignore it, so the content of an all-Flash website will not be found in search engine results.

That's not to say you should not use Flash. We like Flash, so long as it is used sparingly, and the element of movement is kept to a minimum.
