What happens after I place my order for a Content Managed website?

• Before we ask you to commit to an order we show you the CMS using remote screen-sharing. This is to make sure you feel comfortable that you will be able to edit your website using our content management system (CMS), and to ensure that the CMS will allow you to do everything you need to do with your website.
  
  We prefer not to move onto the next stage until we have shown you the CMS. This usually takes 20-30 minutes, but saves hours because you then know exactly what to expect from us and the 123Live CMS.

• We then agree the technical specification (layout, number of templates required etc.) and we quote a firm price for the design and set up of your content managed website, and for any ongoing costs.
• When you confirm your wish to proceed, we send an invoice for 50% of the design and setup cost.
• Once the deposit is paid we ask you a series of questions relating to how the website should look. From your answers we build up a design brief for the graphic designer.
• Our designers then create the "look and feel" of your website. Once you are happy with the artwork, we implement the design as a fully functional content managed website.
• Unless we have specifically quoted to enter content for you, your website will be supplied with a few pages containing dummy content only.
• We show you how to build your website content with the 123Live CMS. We do this using telephone and screen-sharing - it's just like we're sitting right next to you. Don't worry if it doesn't all sink in first time, you can come back for more training or support at any time - this is included in the cost. 
• You then pay the remaining 50% and the first month's hosting/support charge. Subsequent payments are made by standing order.
• Let us know when you are ready, and your website will go live.
• Use the 123Live CMS to add and edit pages, pictures, links and files whenever you want. We are here for you when you need help, support or advice.

• Finally, don't think your design is cast in stone. If the need arises we can change the 'look and feel' of your website without the need to re-enter any content.

Alternative process for larger websites

For larger or more complex websites we have an alternative process. This is similar to the above but:

• First, we show you how to enter your content into a website with an unstyled 'wire frame' structure.
• As you build up your content we work with you to create suitable templates or extra functionality to best suit your content. At this stage your website is just a framework with no graphic design applied, so it will look rather dull.
• Once you are happy that you have sufficient representative content in place we design the graphics for your website.
• Once you are sufficiently impressed with the graphic design we apply this to your site. There is no need for you to re-enter any content.

This alternative process costs a little more but produces excellent results in cases where you are not really sure how the website should look and function until the content is in place.
