Or call us on Do we need a face-to-face meeting? We have clients all over the UK and in some European countries. We work with our clients via telephone, email and using advanced screen-sharing technology (you can see our screen or we can see yours). Avoiding lengthy meetings and travel saves time and money and allows us to keep our prices low and our standards high. It's also good for the environment. If you feel that you really need face-to-face meetings with a graphic designer then the way forward is for you to select a local graphic designer to produce the 'look and feel' for your website and employ 123Live to turn that design into a content managed website. There are certain issues that need to be taken into account with a content managed website that don't apply to old fashioned 'hard-wired' websites. For example, with a content managed website you will be able to change the menu text, and the number of items in the menu. The length of the pages will be variable, depending on how much text you decide to put on the page. The graphic design will need to be able to cope with issues such as this without falling apart. Once you select your local graphic designer we will brief them on the ins and outs of designing graphics for a content managed website. You then work with them to produce your design. Once you are happy with the design we will check it to make sure it will work in a content managed environment, and alert you to any problems or limitations that the design may impose. Then we take the design apart and build the framework for your website. You enter and maintain the content and perhaps work with your graphic designer to create images or graphical elements for use within the website content. This option generally costs more than using 123Live's graphic designers, and will take more of your time, but it can be worth the effort if there is a clear business case for a design that is either very complex or more 'off the wall' in terms of layout and navigation. |
