Email features

Outlook or webmail

You have a choice of using conventional email software such as Outlook (POP3) or you can get your email via our webmail service. You can use both together: use Outlook when you are at your desk and webmail when you are out and about. If you use Hotmail you will be familiar with webmail, but our webmail does not carry advertising and is much quicker to use.

Features (applies to webmail and POP3)

  • Up to 10Mb per message.
  • Forward or copy emails to one or more addresses. Make sure your emails are dealt with while you take a break.
  • Set up an autoreply. This is useful if you are away for a while, or if you want to send immediate confirmation in response to sales or other types of enquiry.
  • Retrieve mail from other POP3 accounts and put them into your regular inbox.
  • Filters to allow you to deal with mail according to rules you set. For example, you might reject all mail containing certain words or phrases, or you may want to redirect emails referring to various products to different staff.

Webmail features

  • Create multiple "personalities" including the all-important signature (your contact details and any other message that gets appended to all emails you send). This means that you can use one mailbox and choose whether to send an email with your work or home details.
  • Create folders to organise your emails.
  • Spell checker with personal dictionary.
  • Note pad, keep a note of important information that you can access wherever you can find an internet terminal.
  • Task manager
  • Sent attachments.
  • Built in calendar.
  • Send emails as HTML or plain text.
