The 123Live hosted CMS is designed for businesses that want their web site to be updated by non-technical people. They also wish to avoid the cost and complexity of maintaining software and servers. 

The 123Live content management system is designed and supported in the UK, and has been used successfully by UK businesses since 2002.

In addition to building your website within our content management system, we provide full CMS training and support in the UK.

123Live is not an open source web site
content management system - it's a hosted CMS

Unlike Mambo, Subdreamer, Webinsta, Joomla and many other web site content management systems, the 123Live CMS is not open source, and it's not a 'free CMS'.

The web site CMS is hosted and maintained on our servers and you rent the content management system from us. This means that you do not have the overhead of maintaining the CMS software and the application servers yourself. We provide all the upgrades automatically as part of our total CMS solution.

Open source content management systems may seem a good deal at first. They are often favoured by IT staff because IT staff like to fiddle around with servers and software. But installation, maintenance and user training can drain resources and result in a very lengthy implementation.

In comparison, the 123Live hosted CMS solution is ready to go 'out of the box' and we usually have clients' web sites built, tested and live within a month. CMS training takes 30 minutes or so, even for very non-technical editors. After the initial handover we provide full support. We use screen sharing where appropriate as this can drastically reduce the time it takes to get to the bottom of a support issue.
